What is an Unlimited Data Plan?

An Unlimited Data Plan provides unlimited data throughout your plan validity. After reaching the daily high-speed data allowance, the connection speed will be reduced, while internet access will remain available for essential online activities.

How is the experience with speed limits on an Unlimited Plan?

After the high-speed data allowance is used, your speed is reduced to 5 Mbps. This is still fast enough for navigation, messaging, browsing, social media, and video calls, so you can stay connected throughout your trip.

Date calculation rules:

All plan time calculations follow a 24-hour cycle. The validity period begins when the plan is activated, and daily data or speed limits reset every 24 hours from the activation time.

How do installation and activation work?

Install and activate your eSIM within 30 days of receiving the QR code. Your plan starts immediately upon activation, and all validity and data cycles are calculated from that time.

Frequently Asked Questions

An eSIM is a digital SIM that lets you connect to mobile data without a physical SIM card.

With iRoamly Australia eSIM, you can stay online seamlessly while traveling across Australia.

Follow the steps below based on your device type:

  • iPhone: Scan the QR code we send you, follow the on-screen instructions, and activate the eSIM in your settings.

  • Android: Scan the QR code via Settings → Network & Internet → Mobile Network → Add Carrier. Ensure your device is connected to Wi-Fi during installation.

You can check the full list of supported devices here. Most modern iPhones and Android phones support eSIM.

Yes! You can keep your primary SIM for calls and messages, and set iRoamly Australia eSIM as your data source to avoid roaming fees.

Some plans allow add-ons—you can purchase additional data without reinstalling the eSIM. If your plan doesn't support top-ups, simply buy a new eSIM and reinstall it.

Yes. iRoamly Australia eSIM supports hotspot/tethering on most devices. A few phones may restrict it due to system limitations, but 95% of users can share data without issues.

No, it provides data only. You can still make calls or send messages using apps like WhatsApp or Skype.

Data needs vary by usage. For casual browsing and messaging, smaller plans may suffice. For streaming or navigation, consider a larger plan. Use iRoamly's Data Calculator to choose the right plan.

An eSIM is more convenient: no extra device to carry, no charging required, and instant connectivity on your phone.

Your eSIM is valid from the moment you activate it, not when you install it. Install it before your trip, but only enable roaming once you arrive in Australia to start your plan.

Most eSIMs allow you to check data via the iRoamly app or website. If your eSIM doesn't support this, contact support@iroamly.com for assistance.

Install your eSIM a few days before departure. Your phone must be online to install, and public Wi-Fi at airports may be unreliable. Installation alone won't activate the eSIM or start your validity period.

iRoamly Australia eSIM provides data only. Use apps like WhatsApp, Telegram, or Skype for calls and messages.

After purchase, your eSIM appears on your iRoamly account and you'll get a QR code via email. If it doesn't arrive within 15 minutes, check your email address or contact support@iroamly.com.

Refunds are available if any of the following occur:

  • Your device isn't compatible.

  • Your trip is canceled.

  • Network issues persist after following our troubleshooting steps.

Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method within 3–5 business days. See our Refund Policy for details.

Yes! On dual-SIM phones or Apple devices, you can use your primary SIM for calls/SMS and iRoamly Australia eSIM for data. Make sure to select the eSIM for data to avoid roaming charges on your physical SIM.
