What is an Unlimited Data Plan?

An Unlimited Data Plan provides unlimited data throughout your plan validity. After reaching the daily high-speed data allowance, the connection speed will be reduced, while internet access will remain available for essential online activities.

How is the experience with speed limits on an Unlimited Plan?

After the high-speed data allowance is used, your speed is reduced to 5 Mbps. This is still fast enough for navigation, messaging, browsing, social media, and video calls, so you can stay connected throughout your trip.

Date calculation rules:

All plan time calculations follow UTC+8. The validity period begins when the plan is activated, and daily data or speed limit resets will occur according to UTC+8.

How do installation and activation work?

Install and activate your eSIM within 30 days of receiving the QR code. Your plan starts immediately upon activation, and all validity and data cycles are calculated from that time.

An eSIM is a digital SIM card built into your phone, allowing you to connect to mobile data networks without a physical SIM.

With iRoamly's Laos Republic eSIM, you can get online instantly upon arrival—no SIM swapping required.

Installation is quick and easy:

  • iPhone: Go to Settings > Mobile Data > Add eSIM, scan the QR code, and follow the prompts.

Yes. You can keep your primary SIM card active for calls and SMS while using iRoamly eSIM for data. Just set iRoamly eSIM as your default for mobile data to avoid roaming fees.

Some Laos eSIM plans support top-ups:

  • You can purchase a data add-on—no need to reinstall the eSIM.

  • If top-ups aren't available for your plan, you can buy a new eSIM and activate it instantly.

Yes, you can use hotspot and tethering with our travel eSIMs. In rare cases, certain devices or system versions may limit hotspot sharing, but 95% of users can share data without issues.

It depends on your usage habits:

  • Light browsing may need 1–3 GB for a week.

  • Heavy streaming or hotspot use requires more.

Use our Data Calculator to choose the best plan for your trip.

An eSIM is more convenient—no extra device to carry, no charging, and instant activation from your phone.

Validity begins when you activate the eSIM by turning on data roaming at your destination, not when you install it.

Install it in advance but keep roaming turned off until you arrive.

Most eSIMs allow you to check data usage in the iRoamly app or on our website. For eSIMs that don't support this, contact support@iroamly.com for your balance.

We recommend installing your eSIM a few days before your trip while you have a stable internet connection. This avoids installation issues that can happen with slow public Wi-Fi at airports.

No, it's data-only. For voice calls or texts, use internet-based apps like WhatsApp or Viber.

  • If you don't receive the email within 15 minutes, check your address or contact support@iroamly.com.

You can request a refund if:

  • Your device is incompatible and you haven't used the eSIM.

  • Your trip was canceled.

  • You experienced connection issues that couldn't be resolved after troubleshooting.

Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method within 3–5 business days. See our full Refund Policy for details.
